End Stage Renal Disease National Coordinating Center (ESRD NCC) Offers Free Webinar on Water and Dialysate Safety, December 8, 2015

The ESRD NCC is offering a seventh National Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) Learning and Action Network (LAN) Webinar Event, “Water and Dialysate Safety: A Key Infection Prevention Strategy in Dialysis.” The webinar will be held on December 8, 2015 at 4:00 – 5:00 PM ET and is available free of charge. Nurses and technicians can receive 1.0 CE.

This webinar event will provide case study reviews of incidents that experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have investigated in which patients were exposed to infectious agents through the water or dialysate system. It will also feature discussions on important prevention strategies concerning the design and maintenance of dialysis facility water and dialysate delivery systems.

The presentation has been developed in cooperation with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CDC, and the ESRD Networks. It features nationally recognized subject matter experts in the field of infection control, who are dedicated to eliminating healthcare acquired infections.

Nurses and technicians can receive 1.0 CE through the End Stage Renal Disease National Coordinating Center, provider # CEP 16639, which is certified through the California Board of Registered Nurses.
