Presenters: Julie A. Moss, MS, Anne Pugh, MSW, LCSW, and Melissa Perry, MSW, LCSW

Biographies: Ms. Moss is the director of Patient and Family Engagement and Learning and Action Networks at the End Stage Renal Disease National Coordinating Center in Tampa, Florida.

Ms. Pugh is a patient services manager at ESRD Network 17, serving American Samoa, Guam, Hawaii, Northern Mariana Islands, and Northern California.

Ms. Perry is the manager of Patient and Family Engagement and Learning and Action Networks at the End Stage Renal Disease National Coordinating Center in Tampa, Florida.

Presentation Objectives:

  • Discover what a Learning and Action Network (LAN) is.
  • Explain how LANs transfer experiences to help mitigate barriers and drive improvement.
  • Discuss barriers to healthy and productive communication.
  • Demonstrate the Forum of ESRD Networks Grievance Toolkit.
  • Share success stories related to using the Grievance Toolkit.
