Biography: Ms. Goalby is the manager of transplant initiatives and lead trainer at Health Literacy Media in St. Louis, Missouri.
Presentation Objectives:
- Understand the need for better transplant education for end stage renal disease patients and their support systems.
- Explain what the Trans-theoretical Model of Behavioral Change theory is and how it can be applied to helping patients pursue transplant and living donation.
- Review health literate transplant and living donation education and resources to help patients make informed treatment choices.
