Mary Gruel, RN, CDN - Education Coordinator at Tri-State Dialysis in Dubuque, IA

Biography:

Mary Gruel, RN, CDN has over thirty years of experience working in-center and acute hemodialysis. She earned her nursing degree from Northeast Iowa Community College in 1987 and became a Certified Dialysis Nurse in 2005. Currently, Mary serves as the Education Coordinator for three Tri-State Dialysis facilities in Iowa and Wisconsin.

Presentation Objectives:

During this event, the presenter will:

  • Discuss strategies used to manage patients and staff during COVID-19.
  • Explore policy updates that were implemented to accommodate the dialysis patient during COVID-19.
  • Outline steps for action plan when a patient presents with a fever or symtpoms of COVID-19.

One CEU will be provided for attending this meeting.
