Biography:
Daniel Landry currently serves as the Chief of the Division of Nephrology as well as the Director of Acute Inpatient Dialysis and Critical Care Nephrology at Baystate Medical Center, a 715 bed tertiary care medical center in Springfield, MA. In addition to serving as the medical director for the in-center and home dialysis unit at FKC East Springfield, Dr. Landry is a member of the only ESRD Seamless Care Organization in New England and has been recognized for his excellence in teaching in Baystate’s nephrology fellowship program.
Presentation Objectives:
The presenter will:
- Discuss the challenges of the present and future nephrology workforce.
- Describe how advanced practitioners (AP) are supporting nephrology through clinical, educational and quality improvement.
- Discuss how APs are helping improve nephrology healthcare delivery in the era of advanced alternative payment models and COVID-19 pandemic.
