Subodh Saggi, MD, MPH, FACP, FASN - Professor of Medicine, State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate
Dr. Subodh Saggi currently serves as the Director of Ambulatory Dialysis and Kidney-Pancreas Transplant Program at State University of New York Downstate. His primary research interest is to study the pathogenesis of kidney injury and the development of biomarkers to detect early onset of renal failure. Dr. Saggi was trained as a molecular biologist with a fellowship in kidney diseases and Master's in Public Health. He has led multiple clinical trials at Downstate advancing new pharmaceutical drugs safety and efficacy. He leads the clinical trial center in the Department of Medicine and trains clinicians, fellows, residents, and research staff.
The presenter will:
- Decsribe how to implement process improvements to support patients and staff during a pandemic.
- Define early intervention to monitor success and sustain change for optimal infection control.
- Outline effects on staff and patient wellness and efforts to maintain safety during a crisis situation.
